I just got a phone call which turned into a phishing attempt. It’s surprising how much of a gut instinct it is to fix problems instantly. I was ready to deal with it on the phone rather than heading for my records first. Luckily, there was a process in the back of my brain that worked out that I was looking at a hook before I bit it and gave anything away. I reported it to the bank that he said he was calling from, but I don’t think it will make any difference.
I was flying with Thai Airways for this trip, which has the individual entertainment systems for all passengers. I managed to catch some decent films this time around.
On the trip out, I caught The Brothers Grimm, which was fun and disappointing at the same time. I thought it could have been much better than it was. I should have loved that movie if it was done right.
On the way back, I saw two movies. The first one was Corpse Bride. It lived up to expectations, but somehow felt entirely predictable. After that I watched Sky High which was easily the best of the three films. It blew away my expectations, having all the fun and not too much filler. I was surprised that a gem like this came from Disney.
