I was trying to find french radio stations online over the last few days, and it
was harder than I thought. Far too many of the stations out there use Windown
Media Player formats, which leaves me out. A good portion of the rest use real
player formats, which is slightly more useful.
I did eventually find a few stations that offer mp3 and ogg (yay!) streams. In
some cases, however, there is more english content than french content. That is
kinda disappointing, but something I will have to live with.
So far, a couple stations have earned more play than the others, mostly because
I can name the stream. I hope to expand on this list over time.
A while ago, I was walking down Ponsonby Road with Lisa and happened to stop by
a magazine store. While I was rummaging through the vast quantities of cool
stuff, I stumbled upon a book, bound in white vinyl (from memory), containing a
photo history of video game art.
Naturally, I thought of Tim.
I bought the book and bundled it up into an international post package, and off
it went. A couple days ago, I got around to asking if it showed up. If I had
known about Tim's
livejournal account, I would have seen that he's had it for a month already.
According to the entry, it
was well received and particularly well-timed. Flipping pages of a book is much
less RSI-inducing than work, after all. (Glad you liked it, Tim.)
