While I was getting registered for a short course at the New Zealand College Of Massage, I realised that I hadn't seen my passport in a while. In fact, I couldn't remember specifically seeing it since I received my new work visa in September. As a result, I scheduled a bit of a tornado to run through my bedroom to help me look.
Everything that hadn't been looked at since being unpacked was being looked at. Most of the junk was tossed in the bin, which was probably not the best of ideas. I had a looming thought that I might hve accidentally binned my passport when I was shifting to Auckland. At least I had looked through everything I was throwing out a few times to make sure there wasn't anything important hiding away.
I did manage to find my passport, thankfully. I don't remember putting it where I found it, but that's not overly important. I can get registered for that class, and I can extend my work visa so I don't get sent home in 5 weeks. As an extra bonus, I now have an inescapeable excuse to clean my room.
Things are starting to get busy again after the Christmas break. I know it's February, but some things take a long time to get back into action. I think it has to do with the amount of slack-ass people who are supposed to be responsible...
As I had mentioned before, I have started taking french classes again. I'm now registered for a 5 week massage class, and volleyball should be starting up again next week. With a certain amount of preparation, I should be able to get to pilates before volleyball on Wednesday nights, too.
I like being busy. I'd rather be busy than bored. Unfortunately, I don't often have enough time to cook properly when I'm busy. The way around that is to have people over for dinner from time to time. I can always make time to cook for friends.
I didn't make it to the gym this morning. I'm not sure if it was the margaritas at the Mexican Café last night, or built up tension from my passport panic resulting in poor sleep. Or a bit of a melancholy mood from being somewhat injured and unable to run this morning. In any case, I'm hoping that someone was thinking of me while they were working their ass off.
I'm basically at my distance for the 11km race at the end of the month, but I need to be uninjured before that happens. Forced rest now is better than forced rest during the race. That doesn't account for not heading in for weights, though.
